Ruah Elohim Yoga aims to yoke ourselves with the Holy Spirt through the spiritual disciplines of meditation and prayer with the physical disciplines of breathing and stretching. This practice can help us clear our minds, posture our hearts, and move (or still) our bodies to commune with our Triune God.
During our peaceful yoga practices I will employ Lectio Devina (Divine Reading) where I will read scripture(s) throughout your practice to help you meditate as you move or rest. No experience is required, just a desire to find peace in God.
Our namesake is from the name of God most closely associated with the Breath and Spirit- Ruah Elohim, also spelled Ruach (Genesis 1:2). At Ruah Elohim Yoga we connect with the breath as a way to remind our very bodies the nearness of God in and through us, sustaining our every moment.
